Works as described in Accessories and consumables

Works as described. I needed to convert the HDMI output from a DVD to my old TV with a component input. Ease of installation. Good picture. No trouble. no trouble.

Doesn't work for me - Accessories and consumables

I've tried everything but it doesn't work. Was also more expensive than other adapters. I ended up buying another one that was simpler and worked on the first try.

Works great with my Apple TV

I bought this to connect my Apple TV to my old stereo and 1080p projector. After pressing the "resolution" button until I found the outgoing 1080p resolution, this works fine. Very happy with this device. Highly recommended.

Waste of money for video converter

This is a pathetic device. I couldn't get a picture of a god to save my life. Even to get an image from a high quality Sony LED projector I have to go to 480p! Perhaps worse, the signal was so distorted that the top 5-10% of the picture had a "ripple" effect! I would not buy this!

Not working on my old Philips 720p TV

I bought this to try and connect the Firestick to my old 720p "enhanced resolution" flat screen TV that doesn't have an HDMI input but has a only has component video inputs. Couldn't get it to work hence I gave 3/5 stars. Not sure if it's a converter or a TV, although the specs say it should work.

Good quality, easy setup but the image flickers no matter what resolution I use

Must try another because no matter what resolution I try I always get flickering in the bottom third of the screen a few seconds. I even set my cable box to 720p so the resolution conversion is minimal but the flicker is still there. I had to send it back.

HDMI ports not working on your LG?

A friend gave me an LG TV with a broken HDMI chip. Instead of spending almost $200 to fix it, I ordered composite ports instead. Plugged in my Revain FireTV and bam, 2 1080p connections on a free $20 TV. It has a resolution toggle button to choose the best one that suits your input device. It remembers the resolution between sessions of turning on the TV. Nice metal body. Happy with it.

Works well

I have several different HDMI component adapters because some devices don't use HDMI. One such device I have is the SlingBox and I use this converter to convert my HDMI cable box to RCA component output. At first the installation didn't display any image, so the button to change the resolution had to be pressed several times until a good image came out. Otherwise this device works well. Didn't work with my Roku streamers or Sony Blu-ray players

I don't know if I got a bad one but I've had it with four different Roku players ranging in age from five years to six months tried a sony bluray player. It didn't work for anyone. I've tried all resolutions with different HDMI and component cables that I know are good because I use them on other devices. I tried everything on two different Sony TVs.
