so far so good. I've been using it with a basket on the countertop for a few months. Eve has only had 2 pouch failures so far, once with spicy crab leg shells and once when it was too full. They decompose in my compost pit after a few months as far as I can tell without digging in with my hands.

Update: I added an extra asterisk because the seller contacted me and said there had been a mix up with smaller bags that were mistakenly placed in an 8 gallon box and offered to send me bigger bags. They really did everything they could to remedy the situation. When in doubt, it is worth trying this product as they offer great customer service. Tiny! I loved the 8 gallon bags because I couldn't find bags larger than 3 gallons locally. But this bag isn't even half the size of my 7 gallon trash…
