Beware of medical socks

As a longtime wearer of compression stockings, I was so excited to get a pair of "real" 30-40 mg compression stockings instead of my grandmother's compression stockings. ! The socks are comfortable and appear to be of good quality. I'm sure they would be good for those who are on their feet all day and need foot pain relief. I need to be put on 30-40mg compression due to a long history of DVT and ankle ulcers. The compression of the socks around the ankles, where I need the most compression, is

Too small! Not the same product as before!

A few months ago I bought a pair of these shoes to help with swelling in my right foot. I liked them so much I decided to order another pair to add to my rotation. Despite claiming to have ordered the same item, same size (large), same style and same color, the socks I received this time were MUCH smaller! I could barely get the sock on my foot and after a few minutes of effort when I finally got the fabric as snug as possible it didn't even come down to my knee like it used to. He just crashed

Too tight!: Medical compression stocking

I've been wearing Jobst support socks and sports support socks for over 18 years. Since my calf is quite small and I wear a small jockey, I was happy to order the small compression stockings. After putting them on, which wasn't easy (pun intended :)), I went on an eight-hour shift as a paramedic. When I got home I had to ask my husband to help me take them off as they appear to be "sealed". I had horrible diamond marks on my legs, my feet were sore and dry as can be. I don't know how I could…

As a frequent DVT patient, I have worn a compression stocking on my left leg for many years for medical reasons. After a lot of trial and error, I decided on CompressionZ socks. I found these to be great socks that have lasted several months and are reasonably priced. I have ordered and used dozens of these socks over the past four years. I placed a standard order for five socks a few weeks ago and they didn't deliver the exact sock. Gone is the black sock with the gray sock and healing…

THE COMPRESSIONZ BRAND WAS RADICALLY CHANGED FOR WORSE

Compressionz USED to be a fairly good and inexpensive compression sock that was useful for athletes and people with medical conditions. Of course, I've always noticed that up until last spring the upper band was a bit tight and therefore counterintuitive to blood flow, whether vascular or lymphatic. However, they were a lot cheaper than many brands and the style looked MUCH better. And they were tough enough to withstand activities like walking and hiking. BUT, this last pair I got was pretty…

Much better than "medical " stockings!

My therapist put Jobst stockings on me, but they leaked if you looked at them sideways, constantly wore a hole in the heel after a few months, just came out screaming "disabled tan". and costs almost $70 per pair before shipping. The durable yarn holds up well to washing and wear and won't flow! I haven't stuck my finger through them yet while putting them on. Heels remain intact! Black and white knee-highs also look "normal" in shorts (tricked sister friend). They fit exactly. They FEEL…

Fed up with these medium and small socks, I also tried the medium Jobst socks. I know about compression. When skiing, I wear compression stockings all day and then recovery stockings. These socks provide adequate compression. If you feel they are too tight, this is not a sock. That's you. If you know you're overweight, choose less compression or go up in size. These Z compression stockings appear to be made from a very similar material to Jobst's, but much thicker and denser. They also have…
