My problem with the ceiling fan not working has been solved

There is a very good ceiling fan that is very slow. I cleaned and even lubricated the bearings, but there is no result. Thought maybe it's the remote and even deleted it and no luck. I read an article about replacing a capacitor so I bought this one as it matched what I had. Easy install and bingo it worked like new. I even have a spare capacitor as a backup. Complete profit and easy installation.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Repair the fan yourself with this part when the speed is off.

My fan stopped working on high and medium power and my wife demanded to replace the fan, but I decided to check something first. I went to You Tube and found that the problem was most likely the capacitor, so I tried Revain but could only find one that had a higher voltage, 450 vs 280. I didn't know if that was normal, but the Another person's comments said it so I ordered it and after replacing it the fan worked great!

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • weak

Replace to restore high speed!

The fan is finally running at full speed again. I first tried swapping out the remote receiver but still didn't have great speed so I did some more research. Probable cause found - the capacitor, although the old one looked fine. At this price there's no harm in trying. R and R'd is old and works like new. The new capacitor has a threaded tab that the old one doesn't have, but it can still fit in the fan. Just adjust the uF rating and make sure the volt rating is the same or higher than the old

Pros
  • Long-lasting paintwork
Cons
  • Repair

My fan is working again.

Burnt two Z-Wave "Enbrighten" fan switches. I decided to replace the fan capacitor before replacing the fan. In my case the capacitor was clearly visible on top of the Hunter fan and was fairly easy to replace. The old capacitor showed 2.5uF and the new capacitor showed 4.5uF as expected. The only thing to note is that I changed the manufacturer to Honeywell for the Z-Wave fan controller as well. The fan behaves normally. I'm pretty sure it was the capacitor that fixed it and not another fan…

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are downsides

A Marta 52-inch fan works in Hampton Bay. 6 fans work like new for $30

I think depending on the fan model but I pretty much had to disassemble the entire fan which included: 1 dome, 2 lights, 3 ring lights, 4 fan blades, 5- outer case, 6-motor, 7-then cut out the OEM condenser. Then REVERSE ORDER Slightly larger than the original condenser, but still fits snugly in the original location in the case. The fan runs at full speed again. I have 6 identical fan models at home, 2 of which I have already changed. I'm waiting for my next capacitor order so I can do the rest.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • old
