I used a wooden shelf with legs that barely fit a very wide keyboard with number pad. I then switched to a white metal wire stand and it was impossible to see the keys through it. It was perfect. The glass is thick and well made, but the other components (legs) are of absurdly poor quality. They're made of metal as thick as a can of lemonade.
