I was looking for a new KVM that handles HDMI connections instead of VGA. While this KVM does not support keyboard shortcuts for switching systems, the buttons on the remote and front panel are sufficient for my needs. I can also report audio being sent over the HDMI connections because my monitor has an audio jack with speakers attached and it works! This device allows me to switch my keyboard, mouse and monitor between two laptops and one desktop computer, which simplifies my workspace. Three months later, I ran into an issue where the USB mouse and keyboard suddenly stopped working on both computers. This resolved itself after I unplugged everything from the switch so it turned off and then plugged everything back in. Hope this doesn't happen too often. I'm writing this as a review in case anyone else has the same problem.

The device has a robust metal housing. I switch between three computers and it does the job perfectly. I only use it for keyboard/mouse and no video. Why am I not using video? Nothing to do with this KVM - I just like switching between video inputs with my 4K TV remote as one of my devices is an old video game that doesn't run over KVM. My computer connected to it worked fine initially but within a few weeks one stopped responding, when the switch was moved to them. Some fail because the HDMI output no longer works (you need to connect directly). Others don't work with keyboard and mouse - constantly disconnecting and reconnecting every few seconds. Will have to connect them directly now. It's like I don't even have a light switch and I'm running wires under my desk again. Very disappointing.

Great KVM switch, I connect my work laptop, personal PC and Nintendo Switch to it and they all switch pretty smoothly (takes about 5 seconds). Works with my 60Hz 4k monitor, wireless mouse and wireless keyboard. It also has an extra power cord, but it seems to work great without having to use it. Comes with 4 USB cables and a small optional wired remote control. 3 common ports as described, for 4 devices as described. Best deal I could find for $40.
