Cheap metal, crumbles on first use

Join Prime and get 4 business. Hex screwdrivers crumbled into small pieces after removing the 5th screw. The metal is obviously a cheap pan or was overheated during production. Now I'm stuck and can't reassemble my Macmini until I get a replacement.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Available in black only

Great tools! for hand tool

I took a chance and hoped the quality is good enough for at least 1-2 times. It definitely was! I've used this kit to replace the original hard drive with an SSD in a Mac mini and the tools are still like new. With proper care, you can use these tools for a very long time. I am very happy with this purchase!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Compatibility

Terrible quality, may not be enough for Mac Mini disassembly.

I should have known better but the price looked good for something I only needed once. When removing the second screw when disassembling the Mac Mini, the TR6 bit shattered like glass. Avoid this kit, there are too many options.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Can you imagine that it can break?

About a year and a half ago I bought this for the Mac Mini, the first time I use it is good, but when I use it again this year, the TRX6 screwdriver just broke ! Then I buy another one through this Amazon account, this time when I use the Trx6 screwdriver it just broke! This is truly an AMAZING product! In your ratings, 15% are one star.

Pros
  • Nice packaging

  • Some problems

The tools available are just the pieces you need to fix your iMAC and Mac!

I needed to replace the SSD in my Mac Mini - this set worked great no problem - I saved them for future use. I was skeptical of some reviews that the tools broke the first time I used them, but I had no such issues. It's a bit of a replacement job - it took about 4 hours to clone the hard drive and then about 2 hours to disassemble and reassemble, but my PC is working like new again compared to the old mechanical drive.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Not a bad kit but source for another tool T8

This kit worked well for removing/reinstalling a 2014 Mac Mini drive. The T6 and TR6 tools are within spec, but the T8 tip is not. I would recommend buying the T8 driver separately (I had another, thanks to notes from other reviewers). The prying tools and logic board removal tool worked as expected. A tip for those about to change discs: Prepare a guitar pick or other non-scratching and non-conductive tool to remove the cable from the hard drive. The adhesive between the drive and the ribbon…

Simple, cheap and good

Worked very well to replace a late 2014 Mac mini hard drive. The only catch was that I needed a sharper tool to remove the IR sensor port on the Mac. I ended up using a toothpick to remove it. Otherwise everything you need is here. In fact, there is one more Torx tool than you need to replace your hard drive. I assume you will need it for some other type of repair. I find that replacing a hard drive on a Mac Mini, regardless of the toolset you're using, is quite cumbersome and requires a lot of

Pros
  • Confident

  • Upgradeable

Actually, I ordered the Ifixit toolkit. Amazing quality! I only ordered this for the logic board removal tool, thinking you might as well get some paddles and extra drivers for pretty much the same price they were selling themselves. Well, this set predated the Ifixit set, so I sorted everything out with that. Worked great! My only gripe was that the 4 larger torx screws securing the hard drive to the tray were a little tight, but they fit and I was able to remove the screws carefully without…

Partial kit for Mac Mini Late 2014; Non-Magnetic - Inconvenient

Screwdrivers are not magnetic to begin with. This would create an immediate problem with tiny screws - you would drop something in and it would be very difficult to get it out. I had to use my own magnetic screwdriver to remove and install the screws and then use the included drivers to tighten them. The Late 2014 Mac Mini requires T6, TR6, and T8 screwdrivers in addition to the motherboard removal tool and spatula. The included T8 is out of specification. Luckily I had my own from a set I got…
