No drips and installs in seconds

Very impressed. Only used on screws and bushings so far but works on all metals I've tried. Just a smear - like Locktite. Work quickly - you have about 15 seconds before it starts to bind. Holds fast, especially on threads.

Pros
  • Eco-friendly
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Didn't last long

Worked very well for about 8 months. No leaks. Then it started dripping. Now after 16 months leaking on both sides. I didn't clean the ends according to the instructions - they still broke over time. Very disappointed. If I soldered the HVAC friend before refilling, the leaks will keep me from working for weeks.

Pros
  • ComStar Black metal lock securely connects metal pipes and fittings of all kinds!
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Be prepared for leaks

I followed the instructions exactly and even spent more time than stated. I've had several leaks from new copper fittings. It's cheap enough that I'll take it with me in case I find myself in an emergency where I can't use the flashlight right away and either get lucky or live with the leaks until a proper repair is made. .

Pros
  • No heat or soldering required
Cons
