It really works. Just pour cold water in and it instantly cools my small room. Very good for the summer when you don't have air conditioning.

This is not a mini portable air conditioner as advertised. This really is a mini swamp cooler that cools the air in the fan very little. This works well, but you often have to wet the inner material and add cold water/ice. Despite these inconveniences, it worked well as a personal fan.

This is a fan. $50 for a fan. This is in no way an AC unit. I can only assume that most of the positive feedback comes from people who have already used this fan in a cool environment.
