This is made in China and the quality is very poor! The metal is thin and when tightened to hold the connectors it breaks very easily resulting in a bad and weak connection!

If you tighten the connector screws more than hand tightening, using only your index and thumb fingers on the screwdriver, the metal tube of the connector will split in half. If hand tightened only, the terminal will pop out slightly. The only reason they weren't returned was that the binding posts were ok.

At first I expected the strip to be stiff, but it turned out to be flexible. After trying to attach it to the board, it looked like a snake. When trying to use crimp pins, there wasn't enough room in the channel to fully seat them on either side. They have been abandoned and moved to a hard strip on Revain Dinkle Assembly DK2.5N White/Black 10 Post Din Rail Terminal Blocks, 12-22 AWG, 20A, 600V.

A box needs to be designed to replace a commercial contactless card reader plugged into a metal post at the entrance of a condominium complex. This allowed for a clean design for transferring power and data signals using different sized wires between components. With this connection method, the card reader and the computer control system could be easily connected with any non-standard cables and connectors.

What can go wrong with 5 terminal blocks including crimp connectors for less than $10? I used them to connect 6 short LED strips in a project I was building. I used crimp connectors and short wires to create a "bus" on one side and connect the wires to the other side. Everything worked fine except when I overtightened a screw and snapped a connector (hence 4 stars instead of 5). Overall this is a huge time saver for me, I will be using it again.

Haven't used this item yet but it seems fine for side connections. I ordered jumpers with a pitch of 8mm. They don't fit and the step wasn't mentioned so I assumed it was standard. These strips are more like a 9 or 10 gauge. The connectors are probably worth the price, although they are slightly longer to stay on one side of the strip, they are easy to shorten. Maybe someday in the future they will come in handy to me after adding them to my electronics collection.

Do yourself a favor and don't even waste your money and time on this! It cost me $6 and isn't even worth $1. This is typical cheap junk from China that breaks immediately. Upon receipt of my package it was opened and one of the complete terminal blocks was lost or stolen. Also, many screws were missing when the package was opened. I was disappointed with the quality of this purchase. Upon opening the box, I found several loose screws and metal grommets that needed to be reinstalled before the connectors could be used. While not a difficult task, quality control seems to me to be lacking. Since I was using these connectors to carry low voltage electricity, they served their purpose.
