Big difference compared to knobs

I was trying to breathe new life into a mountain bike so I wouldn't have to buy a new bike. The knobby Bontrager tires were loud, had high rolling resistance, but were bulletproof, so I left them for road and light trail use. I find these tires a good compromise for my modified mountain bike on road (which I ride 90% of the time), some hard trails and the occasional jump on grass medium . Good grip on all these surfaces. The only drawback: the delivery took a few weeks. But considering I'm based in the US and (I think) the seller is in Amsterdam it doesn't matter and the seller had the best price. Well, they're a bit "chubby", see photo, but it helps smooth out bumps in the road. I've had the rear tire for a few…
