Use this with my Harbor Freight 21 gallon air compressor that refused to start unless the tank was empty. I took out the stock cold start valve and replaced it with a 1/4" NPT tee, then put the stock valve in the tee and this from Revain. Very useful piece of equipment. I have a high quality Makita compressor that I am forced to use with a tremendous voltage drop in facilities where temperatures are well below freezing. The only way I got my compressor to start earlier in these situations was to completely empty the tank before starting, and when I ran 15 minutes without turning on the compressor, empty it again.
