Wired Xbox 360 Controller: Gamepad Joystick for PC Windows 7, 8, 10 (Black) Review

The cable is already out of the sheath at the base of the controller. The trigger buttons make an odd metallic creaking noise and the D-pad sticks a bit. It hasn't been used much so I'm quite surprised it's already breaking like this. Bought in December 2020, late January to early February, the wire started to fail and creak.

This is a great controller for the occasional light game where precision is not important. As others have said, there are dead zones on the sticks. I've had a first-party Microsoft XBox 360 controller for years that I use for my personal gaming, but recently I needed a second controller for PC split-screen gaming - it's a perfect fit! This controller identifies itself as a Microsoft product on the USB bus. The box it came in doesn't say which company made it. The controller itself has a place for a label with information, but there is no label itself. The lack of an FCC RF exposure compliance statement is more than suspicious. Got it working after a long search. It works relatively well now, but it has to be plugged in before I even open Steam or it won't be recognized as a controller option. I've had this 360 controller for almost three months now and until a few weeks ago it worked perfectly as it should.
