look elsewhere Best in Computers & Accessories Category

Because of this device, my screen keeps flashing lines about 1 inch long. But the worst thing is that they go from top to bottom without stopping. I have no complaints about any of the graphics cards or monitors. This device sucks! look elsewhere

This is required if your device has a low-power HDMI port.

My amp has a low power HDMI connector and I can't get a picture without a power supply. The picture will be great, now I have this one. The only problem I see is that when I turn it on for the first time or change sources, my screen flashes on and off about 10 times, after that everything is perfect with no problems.

VGA Projector works fine from PS4 to older models

Didn't know PS4 Pro doesn't send enough power over an HDMI cable to convert directly to a VGA cable. The screen would just toggle on and off on my old projector when connected to a PS4, but worked fine when doing the same on a newer PC. I watched a video on youtube about the problem and bought an HDMI to VGA box that provides extra power via the 5vdc cable and PRESTO! Works great! An audio output is also a big bonus.

Video is good but sound is very weak

This device effectively extracts the video signal from the HDMI input and outputs a strong VGA signal. However, the audio extraction from the HDMI channel is very, very weak and almost useless. Therefore, you must be in a very quiet place to hear the sound. Obviously the device needs a small built-in audio amplifier. We solved this problem by using a small standalone amplifier between this converter and the audio input to the VGA video projector and then directly to the speakers for better…

Need a converter to connect a new laptop to my 4 port switch

My new laptop only has an external HDMI port. My setup on a 4 port VGA switch is outdated and I wanted to add my new laptop to a computer group as I have one central place to access all my computers. I've tried a few other converters and they worked while my switch was on a new laptop, but as soon as I switched to another computer on the switch, I lost connection to my large monitor. This unit worked great as it is powered by its own power adapter which keeps the monitor plugged into my new…

good and durable good for HDMI to VGA adapter

Update: AC adapter died on me. Probably an electrical fault. Just something to watch out for if you're buying this for something important. Original post : The body of this device is well designed. Beautiful and durable. I bought it to use with my mother's church choir AV equipment. It is used as part of a multi-converter setup for a projector and TV. Screws to the wall next to the splitters. Cables hold up well. The TV using it shows cleanly and without glitches. It can be taped to the wall on

Perfect for low latency gaming!

This is quite an interesting HDMI to VGA converter. It doesn't reprocess the input video, which means it outputs exactly what you input. You get a low-latency signal, making it perfect for gaming. I've tried 60fps games on a couple of consoles and the game seemed to me to be completely lag free, but I can't say the lag is zero, so let's say very low lag. Now if you need a converter that can increase or decrease resolution, you don't need or want this. It is not an upscaler or downscaler…

Does what it says on the tin - precise VGA imaging.

I have a Gajillion monitors spread over a wide area that use 1080P (1920 x 1080, 30Hz). I use a lot of KVM over RJ45 extenders (uncompressed), Raspberry PI with VGA for network and just old PCs. That means I have a hodgepodge of DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA, while modern budget displays are HDMI and that's it. Rather than replacing some expensive hardware to pair with new displays, this is an inexpensive workaround with great results. Most modern displays also have at least one USB port, so I
