Well if you have old game consoles and such that still use RCA RWY connectors then this is for you. This way you can connect your devices to the HDMI input of your new modern Smart TV. It works well and gives me a nice crisp screen with no static or issues. Good decision!

For some reason I can't connect my Sega Genesis to my 4k TV using composite video/audio connections, so I bought this unit and it works like a charm! The initial setup took less than a minute and now all I have to do is switch the TV's input to the appropriate HDMI port and in seconds I'm reliving my childhood :)

I only bought this for my Nintendo 64 with composite output. I had no trouble connecting to my new Samsung TV. First I turned on the converter, and then turned on the game console. The video quality has not deteriorated. Actually it was the best quality. The 5 volt 1 amp corner charger worked fine for me. The power cable is included. You must use your own inexpensive 5 volt DC phone charger. happy customer.

Don't judge too harshly, but I love my WiiFit. My new TV didn't have enough RCA connectors for it (because my DVD player is also old and doesn't have an HDMI socket) so I ordered this gadget to connect the Wii. It works great - just note that you need an HDMI cable and a power source (like a USB input on your TV or elsewhere - no adapter is supplied) for this to work properly. It's very helpful and I'm happy to be reunited with my Mii.

When I first started using this product I was at a friend's house and the product seemed to work well. About 3 or 4 minutes into use the screen went black for about 2 or 3 seconds, came back for about a minute or 2 and then went black again for 2 or 3 seconds. Very easy to set up just a few minor issues. I hear a very slight but high pitched hum coming from the adapter, the same noise that cheap phone chargers make. That way I have to unplug the adapter when I'm not using it, which isn't too bad since you only have to unplug the USB connector. Also sometimes the sound disappears. I finally upgraded my TV to 4k, I was disappointed when I connected a recordable DVD player to the TV as the screen wasn't showing in full screen; since 720p cuts out 40% of the possible TV picture on a 4k TV frame. Just bought this for a friend's new TV. It only has two HDMI inputs, no RCA - a purchase mistake - and the old DVD player only has RCA outputs. So for €12 it was worth it. Luckily the TV also had a USB input which this converter needs for power. Please note that the specifications say USB 1A: I hope the TV can provide this stably.
