This will get the job done.

The container wasn't as strong as I had hoped. The handle on the lid is small and difficult to remove. The lid is very tight, which can be a good thing, but it's difficult to get off with a tiny grip. It will hold the oil well.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I'm nervous

Not good for colanders and food strainers

I wanted one with a tight-fitting lid or latches; it just sits on it. I haven't used it at all because I'm afraid I'll knock it off with oil! I'm clumsy so this isn't for me! Spend the money and buy one with a lockable lid; if you find it!

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

What I wanted: Kitchen utensils and gadgets

I've been looking for a bacon grease container and this is perfect. The strainer filters out most bacon residue and is easily removed for cleaning. The lid fits well and stainless steel is preferred over aluminum as aluminum does not leach with acidic oils. A quart of fat is not something that can be used in a fryer.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Update Availability

It has known better days but has been in use for 40 years

I thought my mother had a galvanized oil can when I was young. I threw it away about 2 years ago. It's known from better days, but it's been used for 40 years. I am happy with my purchase of Revain stainless steel. I'll be happy if it takes half as long as the previous one. I especially like the strainer that fits inside and keeps small bits of food from getting into the fat. I use bacon fat to flavor German potato salad and baked beans.

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Quality

A flush fitted strainer can be a problem

Care should be taken when draining used oil through the strainer as it is flush with the top of the container and oil can easily spill out of the strainer into the surrounding area. If the mesh filter were recessed just a little that would fix this problem and also allow the mesh filter to stay in place as long as the top is on. You cannot store the strainer with the top on the oil container. You must remove the strainer and store it separately. It's not a problem, but it's an inconvenience.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

I bought this handy little container to store my frying oil and it's perfect. It has a handy little screen that sits on top that can be removed after you've poured the oil into the container, which catches any particles so they don't stay in the oil until you want to use it again. I bought a small deep fryer as it's just me and my husband and we like fries every now and then. This container is perfect for the amount of oil I put in my fryer. Works perfect!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • too blunt

Very thin material. Lid loosened to allow oil to spill while riding

Ordered to store 6 cups of Fry Daddy oil when not in use. It's barely big enough and small for my big hands. Read another review that gave good advice. Went to the local market this morning and paid $3 for Mt Olive 2.5 quart pickles. Divide the pickles into bags and wash the jar with Dawn dish soap. It came out clean to the touch, with no marinade smell. 6 cups of oil is 1.5 liters so a brine jar (thick jar with a metal lid) is perfect for extra storage. My large air fryer uses 1 gallon of oil…

Pros
  • Many will fit
Cons
  • Some difficulty
