Works perfectly! to knife blocks & storage

Sooo much better than the three knife blocks we had before! Appears to be of good quality. I mean, he only holds knives, so don't worry.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Negative is available

Hacked and used! fits knife blocks

What a disappointment! I bought this knife block to match my beautifully renovated kitchen. I think they sent me a used one. It's quite expensive and my expectations were normal for a new purchase, especially an expensive one.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Sufficient

Good for holding more knives

Bought this to hold more of our knives as we have too many for our current block. That fits the purpose. It's definitely inferior wood and workmanship, but I expected it for the price. Competitors charged 30-50 more for a similar product. Since he just has to sit and hold the knives, that wasn't a big problem for me.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Large Cutco steak knives fit in this knife block

The 6.5" x 11.5" block makes efficient use of space. It has 17 tool slots on the top and 8 steak knife slots on the bottom. This block holds longer Cutco steak knives (4 7/8" shank). It has room on top for my scissors, cleaver and steel knife sharpener (10" steel shank). The construction is quality and feels solid. I am very happy with this product now i can keep all my knives in one place and the price of this unit was very reasonable.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Functionality

Good size and quality

This knife block looks good and feels pretty solid. It offers enough space for a large knife set, including 8 steak knives. All slots are "through" and 9 inch knives can be inserted into the top slots without touching the counter below. The only downside I've found is that the two top right slots aren't far enough apart when you're using them to sharpen steel and kitchen scissors. There is a bottom slot that you can use for fine sharpening that provides decent separation and that's how I solved

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Almost never

Good range of hole sizes but some unfinished

I had two good blocks and had a few knives in the closet. So it was nice to finally have a block that fits all of my knives, including my very long bread knife, my cheese knives with holes in them, my kitchen scissors, and all of my other knives. The color is great and it's very durable. and doesn't tip over. However, some holes look like someone cut them out with a chisel rather than have nice smooth edges from a drill. Also, the back was covered in sawdust which, when brushed off, also…

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Exactly what it says

I bought this to replace one of KitchenAid's knife blocks which has several hundred plastic straws in place of knife slots; He wasn't able to keep all the knives I wanted handy. I've moved a few extra knives into this block and I still have a lot of unused space left. This is not solid bamboo - it's about 1/4 inch bamboo on top of another wood. It seems well done. There are no gaps or tears and everything appears to be finished smoothly. Arrived well packaged; It seemed like it would take some…

Pros
  • Knife Blocks
Cons
  • Some issues

Bad quality control.

Nice and solid. Fits a 10" Victorinox Fibrox Pro chef's knife, so that's good. The filler wood and bamboo siding appear to have come from a pile of scrap metal. Fit and finish are below average. The top level trim wood is curved, but that's just for aesthetics, so it's not an issue. The bottom layer, on the other hand, is warped in size, as you can see in the picture. (Confirmed by measurements). Bought new from Revain store. My guess is that the original buyer had the same problem and returned

Pros
  • House and kitchen
Cons
  • A few little things

Not 100% Bamboo: Cutlery & Knife Accessories

Despite what the manufacturer claims in its listing, this knife block is not made of bamboo. The actual block is made from a kind of glued softwood and then covered with bamboo veneer. All the parts you normally see are covered in bamboo and the block looks fine, but a bit of truth in the ad is welcome. The angle between the bottom of the unit and the table top creates a clearance problem for the top row of knives when placing the unit under a closet. This wasn't a problem with my previous…
