It was fine for about a year then it started making buzzing noises. Not exactly what you would expect from a power supply advertised literally as "quiet". Noise occurs when plugged into any outlet, even if isolated from an audio device. Replaced with another PSU and the system went silent. Worst of all, the coil hum/whistle, whatever it is, comes from any analog audio, so you can hear it if you plug in headphones or try to record audio. The RMA CoolerMaster process is very confusing. , then…

Mine was DOA good for internal power supplies

Ordered this to replace a stock Dell 300w PS to upgrade the graphics card. Unfortunately, Cooler Master didn't have enough power to power the computer even without a graphics card. I tried all the connections and thought maybe it was my fault, even though I've installed the power supply many times. Unfortunately this was not the case. I have used Cooler Master power supplies successfully in the past. I think I just got a bad one. This can happen with any brand. Many thanks to Amazon for the…

Simple but functional

I installed this power supply in one of the three workstations I built for my small business. This machine had a low power graphics card and didn't need an expensive power supply, so I went with this power supply. It's definitely different from the $99 Rosewill power supplies I've installed on two other computers. The cables are not sheathed in any way, so the cable routing seems a bit sloppy. And the quality is usually significantly worse than more expensive consumables. Another problem I had…

You don't need a unique PC manufacturer's PSU

Someone before me put a graphics card in a PC without making sure the factory PSU would fit. The inevitable freezes and quirks made the owner think about a new PC. Some PC manufacturers are developing a PSU bracket that may have an extra pin. They feel compelled to buy their overpriced inefficient power supply. think again Their thin cases allow you to bend the pins aside and even drill a new hole to insert a most likely unnecessary self-tapping screw. There is nothing special about this Cooler

Cooler Master Elite 460W ATX PSU

Item received and installed today. Very well packaged so as not to damage anything. Ease of installation. The power supply works great. Has more than enough ports for my use. Has 4 SATA ports. 2 legs, two per leg. Due to the very short distance between the sata connectors on each leg, I had to use a Y-Sata adapter when connecting two hard drives. For the price and the included connections, that's not a problem. However, recommend anyone who buys this PSU to consider buying a Y-Sata adapter with

  • Good price

  • Can be damaged
