DOA, turned on for about half a second, then passed out, took out another Corsair PSU with the same wattage, put all the same parts in, it worked fine. It's worth saving money on some things in a budget build, the PSU doesn't seem to be one of those parts. Go for Corsair or EVGA, everything I've ever bought has lasted over 10 years and after going through several different builds they are well made and worth the extra effort.

I ordered the 600w 80+ model on a friend's recommendation for a new Ryzen build. After ordering I went through the reviews and boy am I worried about the performance of this device. After my initial setup I had no power and immediately thought it was DOA. While troubleshooting, I realized I was stupid and connected my front connectors to the wrong pins on the motherboard. Excellent quality PSU used in the new Ryzen build with MSI Arctic Board. Very quiet. I have a single nVidia GTX1060 and will not be overclocking either Ryzen or any graphics card, so the headroom should be plenty. 😶Update: About 6 months later, works perfectly, no problems. I didn't realize how bad the power supply that came with my Ibuypower retail slot machine was until it broke and I replaced it with this power supply. Sooo quieter. Good price. No more random shutdowns and my machine runs colder too, so the fan in the generic PS was obviously very poor quality. would recommend. We've also been generally happy with Cooler Master products in the past (we also have a Cooler Master case, which is also a super quiet multifax case).

Works as expected but the reason I'm giving this 3 stars is either the cord that comes with it. It sticks out a lot and doesn't want to stay tidy and when I move my system it loses connection. I had to replace the cable that came with it with the one from my previous power supply. Also, yes I pushed the cable all the way through, I thought it needed to be pushed further, but no, I even tried to push it in but didn't go deep.
