The first thing to do when unpacking is throw away the bag of screws and dowels, because that's rubbish. The hooks seem to be very good so far. I would order more of these if I needed them, but it's quite disappointing that the hardware is worthless for the price. The anchors are very cheap plastic and the screws are so short they don't even stretch the anchor. Even if you drill a stud I would use longer screws.

Need strong hooks in a brick wall. I used the dowels and screws that came with it. Installation is easy if you have the right tools. I've used the hammer drill on a brick wall with minimal problems. Firmly inserted hooks feel strong and durable. I currently have various items, some are quite heavy, some are not. My five star rating is based on a few months of use. Time will tell if it holds up. My guess is that the anchors in the wall are failing before the hooks.

I'm not sure if the item has been changed recently or if I received the wrong parts. However, the instructions make it clear that larger "inner" holes should be used for drywall/plasterboard mounting. However, the radius of the supplied screw heads is too small and will slip through the larger hole and not work.
