We needed a unique chandelier for our lake house. My husband converted it to electric and made a connection plate to the ship's rudder! It turned out amazing!

This is not really a functional anchor light as it only burns for a few hours, not all night. I still couldn't get it to burn properly and that was with high quality lamp fuel. These are very nice lights but they are wrongly advertised. The title says 14 inches tall and her measurements are under 12 inches and that is to the top of the hanger. I complained and they give me a $15 discount for the lamp otherwise I might bother getting a refund. Just note that they are much smaller than advertised.

Very nice, even with a dent on the case. This is a work light but not for emergency or emergency lighting. for a work lamp. EDIT: I tried using a lamp, it can be very dangerous! The burner can fall out of the lantern if not installed very carefully, be careful it can be tricky!

Unusable as a real anchor light but nice. I bought this for a real ocean going boat and was disappointed with the craftsmanship. The glass is not a true Fresnel lens and the lamp is thin and not secured in the base at all. If you anchor roughly, expect at least oil on the bow deck.

Absolutely outstanding piece of nautical decor! Lighting it indoors or outdoors will give you an unforgettable sense of adventure, warmth and intimacy. If you can afford it, you will never regret having such a pleasant reminder of maritime history at home. This is my second oil lamp and I love it. Be careful with your top when you're on fire! The lubricator design is not very reliable and is a bit bulky to fit in a lantern. As an anchor light, it is designed to keep the flame and filler hole dry in rain and sea spray. I wouldn't trust him to stay on the globe in rough seas without a little modification. However, if you're looking for a flashlight to use on land, perhaps camping on a rainy day or at the edge of a shed, this is more than enough.

This is a great flashlight. I love him and can wholeheartedly recommend him. (to the seller - my lantern is missing one of the tiny screws holding one of the side rails. I was delighted when I received the lamps (I ordered two), they were beautiful, couldn't wait to have them on our outdoor dining table. So, five minutes after our dinner, the top of the lamp collapsed, putting out the flame. Our dining experience has darkened. So if you want to use this lamp for decoration, order it, it's great. But I wouldn't advise buying and using it as a street lamp, because some of the materials the lamp is made of are not designed to withstand high temperatures. So I had…
