Copper Finish MS20435 0 162 0 182 Diameter Review

Ordered these rivets for the assembly of small, complex, prefabricated and finished parts. The rivets are the exact measurements and seem to be the same throughout the bag of 100 that I bought. Copper is soft, so these rivets are best for attaching small knots that won't take a lot of stress.

I have used them several times when riveting sheet brass and copper to make large pieces of jewellery. They're soft enough to easily hammer a non-cambered end, but not too soft to fit through tight mounting holes. (Contenti #52 drill bit is the perfect size!) They're much easier to use than plain wire rivets, and the domed head gives the rivets a smoother front end.

I had never used rivets before and probably didn't really understand what I was buying. I thought they had a second part, like a connecting ring, I think that's what they're called. When I got my hands on them I didn't understand how they were supposed to stay locked in the material and nothing is holding them from behind. So I haven't used it yet.
