High quality at a relatively low price

Detects electromagnetic smog and 50 Hz RF and low frequency electric and magnetic fields. As well as average and peak detection and useful audio information.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Nothing here

Cornet ED88T+ EMI/RF Detector

Very happy with this purchase. We spent a lot of time researching many detector products and this model proved to have the best functionality for what we needed at a very reasonable price. Works great right out of the box, scanning all of the hotspots around our house as well as families and neighbors. Has enough precision for what we need. Additional graphical features (color LEDs, bar graphs, register covers, audio) make it easy and fun to use. And YES, it comes with a nice storage box.

That's great. for the price of

Some are really against. Of course they will miss some frequency ranges, for example with Bluetooth devices the frequency sometimes doesn't pick up as it should, but for a home meter it's reliable and beats the tri-field (for R/F readings) every time - not to mention by gq. I think the Cornet is great and perfect for use by non-professionals who need a basic reader and aren't worried if the counter hits a bit of data here or there. without spending more money (safe and sound pro 2, up to…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Some little things

WOW! Incredibly eye opening and terrifying

I received this meter today after first reading about it in Nick Peno's book on electromagnetic fields a few months ago. I really didn't want to spend money on a blood glucose meter, but I'm SO glad I did! I implemented many of the suggestions in the book before purchasing the meter. Switched from Wi-Fi to Ethernet, stopped using my laptop while it was charging, ditched my smartphone entirely and replaced it with a "dumb" phone to reduce my addiction to iPhone apps, turned off the bedroom…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Fairly accurate HF, not very good magnetic.

I have access to various types of equipment that I used to test this gauge. Cornet's ED88Tplus accurately reads RF (radio frequency) power from 1.5GHz to 2.5GHz and slightly low readings outside of that frequency range. It reads 90% lower at the lower 300MHz and 90% lower at 5GHz. This is actually reasonable performance for an inexpensive meter and is sufficient to detect most commonly encountered HF frequencies, with the exception of TV stations below channel 14 and FM and AM radio, which are…

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
