Problem with PCIe cables.

If you have a dedicated GPU that requires an 8+6 pin connector (Type 4?), be sure to check the cables. PCIe cables, I tried connecting 2 separate cables from the PSU to the GPU. For some reason my zip showed an issue with the graphics card. I replaced the GTX980 with a new RTX5700, same problem. Then I took a closer look at the cables. You can see from the pictures that one of the wires is incorrect - and this is the end that goes to the power supply. Unfortunately had to go to the RMA…

Good buy for internals

Corsair quality is always top notch. I saw some negative reviews on it and was apprehensive about ordering it, but since it wasn't available from Best Buy or elsewhere I decided to order from Revain and I'm happy to say I did Received in perfect condition and it works great. Spool noise under pressure or very quiet at idle. The build quality is also solid. The price was right, it was the suggested retail price. I mean there is no suggested retail price at the moment but it's ok. I think I got a

the cables are so sturdy

This fully modular device was great, but the cables are kind of very stiff. I've spent a lot of time managing cables to ensure the rigidity doesn't put undue stress on the motherboard connectors. The 24-pin power cable is so stiff that trying to bend it looked like it might snap. This power supply isn't ideal if you're hoping for very neat-looking cables. I use it in Fractal Meshify C and it barely fits, if it was bigger it wouldn't fit. Meshify C is quite compact so I wouldn't recommend this…

Corsair stands for quality

I bought this PSU for my new build as I still need a few upgrades to the CPU, RAM and GPU (if you don't know what that is) for shortcuts means you probably shouldn't be reading this review). What I wanted was near total silence and capable load handling when all dependent resources were maxed out. This power supply is quiet and hasn't hiccuped even in the most demanding games I've played. Easy to install even in an existing assembly. I would definitely buy this power supply again. A note for…

Reliable and quiet, but ugly cables

This is my first Corsair PSU and I have to say I'm very disappointed. I usually go with EVGA, but this power supply had great reviews and a decent price, so I took a chance. I didn't have any power or noise issues, but my main issue is the cables. They look insanely cheap and feel cheap. I've had several EVGA power supplies with nice and clean braided cables, but those cables are dirty and cheap. I have a 2080ti so I had to use 2 6+2 pin connectors to power it. The only cables that came with…

ALMOST ALL MY PCS BURN FOR $3,000. TERRIBLE PSU

After plugging everything in and double checking my connections, I flipped the power button and nothing lit up (usually my phone lights up) so I tried pressing the power button on my computer case and after that 3 times I checked all my connections and tried turning it back on for the 5th time it turned on and immediately saw 4 or 5 sparks going through my case where my fans are. So ALL my fans burned out and my AIO pump stopped working. It must have been a defective SATA cable or just a bad…

Bit the bullet - but the system survived understandably

I think I was unlucky. When I installed my original PSU, I noticed gray material through the fan grill inside the PSU. I assumed it was some kind of thermal paste or something, maybe even protective gel to prevent arcing. The device was fully sealed at the factory, never opened, and yet it had this greyish, seemingly hardened slime on the underside. It was a little strange, but I didn't put much stock in it at the time. I'll come back to this nonsense later in my story. Corsair power supplies…
