Accidental Disconnect and Reconnect with MacBook Pro 16

I've had issues where this dock accidentally disconnected from my MacBook Pro and then immediately reconnected. This happened 1 to 3 times a day. Each time this happened, my monitors would turn off for a while and the attached hard drive would force-eject, causing the Mac to display a warning that it wasn't properly ejected. Everything worked great aside from those occasional shutdowns, but it was too annoying to have this issue. I contacted Corsair Tech Support and they were unable to resolve…

Not suitable for laptop accessories

I ignored the bad reviews on this product and bought it for my 2020 MacBook Air (Intel chip). Not only does it constantly disconnect and reconnect power, resulting in an annoying beeping sound every 5-20 seconds, but it also doesn't recognize any external displays or other peripherals. I requested a replacement device with the same problems. I tried connecting my Razer Blade 15 but couldn't get any displays or peripherals to work either. Changed cables, updated everything, etc. Corsair Support…

It would be great if it worked!

That thing would be awesome. A+ design, including theoretical specifications. It just doesn't work. Should have listened to other reviews. Despite customer service being more than helpful and hours of troubleshooting unsuccessful, the connection to the monitor keeps dropping. It seems to be a general problem. For reference, I have new full Dell XPS monitors ranging from 15 to 2.27 inches. I really wanted this monitor to work. (The second star is for customer service. I just asked if they would…

Don't understand this if you have a Macbook Pro 16

The Macbook Pro 16 combines all displays with an AMD GPU. This GPU has bandwidth issues and this dock does not allow dual 4k@60hz to work properly. You will see odd colors and blurry text when the GPU downscales to 4:2:2 (example shown in the images) and the only way to fix this is to switch to 30Hz, which was unacceptable to me . I received a Wavlink dock with 2 displayports and can confirm that it works correctly and even supports HDR (HDR can be enabled with this dock but due to 4:2:2 color…

HDMI monitor disconnects and connects every 5-10 minutes

Bought two Corsair TBT100 Thunderbolt 3 docking stations, one for the office and one for the home. I based this purchase on a review that rated this dock very highly. In the office I connect an Ethernet line, a USB mouse and a 4k monitor via HDMI. At home I connect a 1k monitor via HDMI (the mouse uses Bluetooth and the network connection is wireless). Both in my office and at home, the monitor connected to the docking station goes blank and then reconnects about every 5-10 minutes. This is…

Turns off home network and randomly disconnects a few times a day

I bought a Corsair TBT100 to replace my Elgato Thunderbolt docking station. The dock itself is good and has the connectivity I need. Unfortunately, the dock currently suffers from two issues noted in other reviews. 1) On average, it randomly turns off 2-3 times a day. This will disconnect all my connections to external devices and networks. I am using a VPN from my computer and it is forcibly disabled. 2) If I undock my laptop from the dock and the ethernet cable is still connected to the dock,

Dirty power supply causing poor sound quality

This is a fantastic dock and did everything I wanted it to until I tried using sound. I'm using this with a MacBook Pro I bought in 2021 (four Thunderbolt 3 ports), two 1080P monitors via HDMI, Ethernet, a couple of USB-A devices and power. For that, it works fantastic and I've had no issues with unrecognized devices or monitors in the wrong places or misaligned. I want to give this dock the 5 stars it deserves. Unfortunately, either the power supply or the circuitry carrying the power is very…

Finally a decent Thunderbolt Dock

TL;DR This docking station is perfect for me! Identical video outputs with good I/0. Transit power 85W for MacBook Pro. And a neat power button! This is my first product review. Bought it for my own Dinero. 3 reasons why this dock is perfect for me 1) Identical video output ports One of my biggest problems with ThunderBolt 3 docks is finding one that has the same 2 display ports. Sometimes they do 1 Type-C and 1 Displayport, sometimes it's 1 Displayport and 1 HDMI. It's annoying because I only…
