The best thing Ive ever used, a great item for everyone!

In principle, I am very pleased with the purchase, the only thing that upset me was the overpayment for useless cooling! Experience Index in Windows 7 x64 - 7.4 Got pros: The memory is really decent, it works with the mother ASUS M4A79 Deluxe. Has some cons: In my opinion, a completely useless cooling system. From above, a device with 3 small propellers clings to memory, each of which rotates at a speed of ~ 6000 rpm, and practically does not create an air flow. And the difference between m /…

Just super, it's beautifully made, I'm very happy with it.

If you decide to take ddr2 4 gigabytes, then you may not find a better memory, you may not find this or that one, but if you find it, you are lucky. And if under acceleration, then you definitely need to take it. I do not advise you to bet on motherboards from ASUS of the lower and partially middle price range, a conflict in the frequency of 1066 is possible, it works stably at 800. ASUS P5Q works stably at 1066, although it is not listed in the QVL list.

Pros
  • Excellent memory, 2 years like clockwork, runs up to 1100 freely, without complete coolers, although it is better to set it up with such overclocking. At a frequency of 1066, the timings 5-4-4-4-9 worked stably, when the frequency is higher than 1066, you need to increase the timings to 5-5-5-15 and the voltage of 2v can even be 2.2v
Cons
  • none, an excellent memory will survive the owner, unless of course he ruins it =) the coolers are noisy, but what do you want, without overclocking they just do not need to be installed. A bit high price.

Compatibility is the best remembered

Well if your mobo survives - my P5N32-E SLI doesn't even like it on default settings. The latest BIOS version (1903) limited the number of SLI DIMMs to two. I have a Corsair XMS 6400 which is just as fast but more stable. And I overclocked the XMS6400 to 1280 with 5-5-5-15-22 timings with full stability (which the Dominator series couldn't handle) so the Dominator didn't improve for this board. ASUS says it's not approved memory for this MOBO but Corsair says so, but I'm tired of the occasional

Buy it! Computer Components

unstable memory for computer and accessories

This memory is unstable with many popular motherboards, although Corsair claims it is compatible. My Windows 7 is throwing errors after the PC has been on for more than 12 hours. I didn't overclock the system at all. I'm moving to my second computer with a gigabyte motherboard. One of the sticks broke after a few weeks of use.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • New Competitors Arrive

Lifetime Instability Guarantee

I feel it necessary to express my deep disappointment with this Corsair memory kit. I brought a bunch of 2x2Gb. I noticed that my computer was becoming unstable, so I ran a test and found that one of the memories was causing the instability. I ran memtest86+ to confirm this. The memory is repackaged for return, RMA offers to return the memory as a set so I'm sending both chips back. Half a month later I received my memories. I reinstalled the memory and expected it wouldn't be a problem, but…

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Durable

Big memory is good for memory

When I built my new PC a few months ago this memory was very expensive so I opted for a decent 800MHz DDR2 which is not SLI compatible . I was sad when I did a service rating and every aspect of the PC was a 5.9 and the memory was a 4.3. After installing this memory and changing the settings in the bios, I was able to install 5.7. Since some of the programs I run don't work well with a 64-bit operating system, I have to stick with 4 gigabytes. The storage itself is outstanding. I'm pretty sure…

  • Hard to say

They die fast - not worth the price

I have 2 sets (total 4GB). My old set is version 1.1. The kit I just bought is version 2.1. They worked for months and now 1 stick just died. I've read a lot about new ones breaking quickly, but I ordered anyway. Now I have to go through the RMA process. Although they have a very good RMA process. I still like the Corsair memory, but I can no longer recommend the 2.1 version of these Dominators. I think they changed the chips they use in version 2.1. It's not worth the price and headache of the

Corsair TWIN2X4096-8500C5D Dominator

Installing on my Dragon platform, I immediately noticed a performance boost, updated from Kingston HyperX PC6400 @ 4.4.4.12. Corsair TWIN2X4096-8500C5D Dominator, ITS Radeon HD4870 Turbo. Thanks to this RAM upgrade, I can now run Crysis at very high settings.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
