Very good product. I was a bit reluctant to purchase this emblem after reading another review that the outer perimeter was not chrome plated but was actually painted white. When I received it I realized that this would not be a problem at all. My hood insulator was a bit torn so I bought a new one from GM. I also bought a set of new chrome brackets. Disappointed. badly packed; The product is not properly protected and the corner of the emblem is bent. As stated, there is no protective film on the painted side. Some scratches are visible in certain lighting conditions. I have to believe I was sent back an item that was already sold or the one I received was just poorly made.
