I lost my favorite ELF sharpener and thought I would just buy a replacement. I was disappointed to find that one of the side guards that attach to the sharpener to keep the shavings doesn't actually stay attached. Keeps falling off! I love that I can easily keep it in my makeup bag and use it on the go and empty it when it's convenient. But if I did it now, I'd be left with chips. It works well but the case is disappointing. Seems pointless if he doesn't stay...

The sharpener itself still works well (after 2 weeks) but I found the lid to fall off if not properly replaced. The thing that's hard to know if you replaced it correctly is that it technically "fits" TWO different ways.... One way doesn't hold it in place, but neither is very tight. I applied a small dot of pink nail polish to the right side and no more jagged spots have flown across my counter!😃

For the price this sharpener is perfect for its intended purpose. Sharpen my makeup pencils well. I gave it 4 stars overall because the clear covers on the front and back are easy to remove (once I open the box and touch it), so just a note if you're considering buying this. It's not as strong as I'd like, but it doesn't bother me either.

I received a double pencil sharpener but no extra travel size pencil sharpener. I bought this item because it listed and illustrated two pencil sharpeners. Now I have to buy another, separate sharpener. I was hoping to get both as soon as possible. If an item is listed and pictured I expect to receive it or be compensated for the error. Revane helped me fix the situation.

It is quite suitable as a sharpener for ordinary pencils. I needed a sharpener that was flat for makeup pencils, especially the wider ones. It's not good for that. The pencil has to go very deep into the sharpener for the blade to touch it and it only tears through the soft wax but doesn't actually sharpen the point.
