Leaks without a built-in fitting

I strongly recommend buying a quality one instead. I was just looking for a cheap option until I finished my build but that didn't help. The top leaked like crazy even after I applied thread tape and the o-ring was A LOT big. Do not buy!

Not for 2003 Ford Ecoline E-350 Diesel

The concept is good, but the dimensions are far from true. The rubber gasket doesn't seal well and actually lifts off and doesn't stay in place. However, I may have a defective one, but to me it's just a waste of mine. Please make sure it fits your vehicle before purchasing.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Ford 6.0L Diesel Must Have

If you have a Ford 6.0L Diesel, you need this! Checking the fuel pressure at the upper filter is a very good do-it-yourself diagnostic/service procedure for your 6.0 liter engine. Being able to hook up a fuel pressure gauge to make sure I have the right pressure is great, and being on the road and monitoring it from time to time to make sure I don't have any unresolved issues is still better. Easy installation, no leakage.

I think it's ok, for spares

As many others have pointed out the large o-ring that comes with it is useless. Reuse the ones from your old cap and you'll be fine. But REALLY shouldn't be with the new part. The reason it actually gets 1 star is the middle test hole. NONE of the included plugs, with or without a check valve, actually seal the damn thing. It's NOT 1/8 NPT, it's a weird straight thread that's very hard to find. There's now a completely semi-weird fitting that seems to help with some thread sealant, but it's not

Fits well but o-ring size does not match.

As other reviewers (as well as the manufacturer) have pointed out, the included o-ring is larger than necessary. The manufacturer states that if you receive a product with a large o-ring, contact them and they will send you the correct size. The Dorman I tried leaked. So I used the o-ring from that one on that aluminum and it worked great. After the plastic leak was fixed, it fitted perfectly and sealed perfectly.

All in all, it's a nice upgrade, but not without problems!

Okay so I wanted to check the fuel pressure in my 6.0 and preferably with a tap from the fuel filter housing so I stumbled upon it and decided to give it a try. Well the first problem was O. The ring that comes with it is too thick and just rolls out when you try to use it. I ended up using the new o-ring that comes with the Motorcraft fuel filter kit that I also purchased. This o-ring was the right size and worked great. I then decided to fit the supplied fuel pressure tap into the top of the…
