Not so much: Memory Card Reader

To be honest I never realized how useful these little things are until I got one with a Raspberry Pi kit and it died on me. I went ahead and bought this one which is just perfect. The point is that the performance of these adapters is limited by the card itself, not the adapter, so it's really just a matter of hoping it lasts a while. So far, so good.

Pros
  • Glitter
Cons
  • Factor Set

Nothing smaller than this

This is a contender for the smallest micro SD adapter on the market. If you need a Micr SD adapter for your tech kit that doesn't take up much space, this is the device for you. My only complaint is that you need nails to get the SD card out of the small slot. The small strap is used to pull the adapter out of the USB port. When installed correctly, a small blue LED will illuminate at the top to indicate the device is active. I think I'll buy a second one to throw in my laptop bag so I always…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Weak

So far it works very well. Insufficient hole size for the lanyard.

As already mentioned, there are no instructions for the correct installation of the mSD card. It's not that difficult to understand, but you can break it if you choose the wrong method and try to force it. The included lanyard hole is very weak. Just a very thin strip of the same plastic as the case. I tried to pull this thing out of the moderately tight USB port and the tip just snapped. There is no longer a lanyard option on this device. I wouldn't trust him to hang this thing (for example)…

Pros
  • Not only usable for the intended purpose
Cons
  • Can be damaged

It costs money.

Nothing to say about it other than it works exactly as expected and that's all you need for the stated read and write speeds. A very good argument is that it's tiny and you can stick it in your computer and forget it's there in the port. I've always hated how they stick out more, bump into and snag on things when you move your laptop.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • There are flaws

It works well. in Computer Accessories & Peripherals

I need this to move and view my files from my Android tablet to my Win10 desktop computer. This adapter works perfectly. But the first few times it's plugged into my desktop's USB port, it's difficult to remove. It gets better with use. Be sure to use the attached cable and your fingers on the device to remove it from the USB port. Do not use only the pull cord, otherwise the plastic case may break.

Pros
  • Quick Replacement
Cons
  • Repair

Works great with Tesla Cam & Sentry

Update: ok, need more testing Tesla doesn't seem to recognize the micro SD memory card after a while . I'm not sure if the problem is with the SD card or the reader. I'll do some more tests. I got this for TeslaCam and Sentry in Tesla Mode 3. I also bought a Sandisk High Endurance 128GB Micro SD. and got the whole setup for less than $40. I love this adapter because it is so small. The blue LED is very bright so I put black tape on it to not draw attention to the adapter when plugged into the…

Pros
  • ▶ Card Compatibility: MICRO SD/SDXC/TF card. After the test, 512GB is supported, the plug-in TF card can be used directly as a USB stick
Cons
  • Slightly dented

The plastic attached to the belt clip breaks

Everything worked electrically. Unfortunately, the plastic holding the lanyard loop broke off and is no longer in my house. It is also difficult to extract from the port. I bought it to read MicroSDXC cards from my laptop that didn't fit in the internal SD reader with a certain size. It was fine for media access, but I wouldn't recommend it for those who regularly need to remove the card to put it back in the camera. It is too small and prone to breakage and loss. It would probably be good for…

Pros
  • ▶ Compatible with Windows ME, 2000, XP, Vista, WIN 7 and Mac OS with USB interface
Cons
  • boring packaging

Great idea, works great. But bad design ruins everything.

I've wanted something like this on the market for a long time. It's as compact as possible. Seems to be working fine. I have an old laptop so I can't comment on the speed other than my read speed is 17.1Mbps. A special feature that is not specified in more detail is that the cover is also put on when the map is loaded. Update a day later: The second time I used it, the strap ripped when I pulled it from the USB port. Because I bought this thing to use on my keychain, it rendered it useless for…

Pros
  • ▶ USB powered, no additional power supply required. Anti-magnetic, anti-vibration, anti-moisture, high and low temperature resistant and shockproof.
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for seniors
