faulty design; Don't waste your money

I have had the AquaTru for a year now and it has been a huge waste of time and money. My first problem is that the device jammed after I washed the front bin. Support sent me a new base unit, but that didn't solve the problem. I found that if I waited all night the unit would eventually restart on its own, so I made an extra pitcher of water before washing the components (which you should do weekly) and crossed my fingers it comes back . the next morning at work. Then the front container…

Misleading the buyer - all made in China.

Originally when I bought this unit in 2017 I was told that all AquaTru (and filters) were made and manufactured in California. It turns out that this is far from the case. - The ready response I get from customer service now that it's time to buy replacement filters and they can't hide the country of origin anymore: "We take the quality of our filters very seriously; Filters are the engine room of the water purifier. We have full control over the filter supply chain. On the other hand, the…

This product does NOT work

My experience with the Aqua Tru was nothing short of ridiculously disappointing. When I first received the product it was based on a recommendation from a good friend of mine so I was very excited. Everything was fine at first, until after about 5 days of use, the device no longer filtered the water at all. After following all the troubleshooting suggestions I still couldn't get it to work so I called their support team. Support decided it was best to send me a new base which took about 10…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Breaks down quick and easy and your money down the drain

My friend and I got it direct from the manufacturer and for the first few months of owning it we had trouble getting it to work bring to. Then after about 3 months he stopped working altogether. We thought maybe we just needed to buy new filters and while the one that gets replaced the most should last around 6 months, for us maybe it just didn't(?). Anyway we buy new filters and replace them and manage to get 1-2 jugs of water out before it stops working again! We read all the instructions…

Pros
  • Nice packaging

STILL great product!

Day 1 - 10/09/2017 Today we received our AquaTru countertop reverse osmosis system. We've been using the Zen water system for a number of years and have enjoyed it, but we wanted a reverse osmosis system. We set it up and ran the required 5 tanks to flush the filters before we started sampling/testing. That's great! Quiet, fast (approx. 12+/- minutes per 3 liters). It tastes great! The filtered water tank is a bit smaller than our old Zen system, which had a 5 gallon filtered water tank, but I…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Expensive

I was very happy with this filter. He was recommended by a friend who was a medical officer. Unfortunately, my happiness only lasted 3 months when the filter stopped working completely. The water started dripping under the filter tray and made a huge mess on the kitchen counter. However, I thought that maybe in just 3 months Aqua Tru would help me solve the problem, so I emailed directly to the person my doctor friend friend of Aqua Tru knew when he recommended the product, and they did At…

  • Not as thick as other picks
