Different finishes are great; The tapered part is thin enough and has enough friction to grip the colored wire without leaving marks (when used properly). The square nose pliers underneath are solid, if a bit wide. It's smooth enough to flatten thinner wires. The wire cutters are fantastic for 3-in-1.
