Just what I needed. I managed to transfer the metal bracket from the broken tank to the new one. This saved me 50% of the cost of what came with the mount.

I borrowed a tiller from my stepfather and the tank started to deteriorate. The top part broke and the vibration caused the tiller to release gas. The replacement worked and fits. Not difficult to install.

This is the second tank I had to order. I'm a little mad that I had to order another tank so quickly, but this isn't the first tank mistake. I'm pretty sure it wasn't designed to be towed on the freeway. If you buy one of these tanks (or even if you don't buy one), make sure you properly secure your propulsion equipment during transport.

Identical replacement tank for my 5HP Craftsman 2" Chipper (1997) model 247.775850 as MTD 247-483A099. Engine - Craftsman 143.965021, Tecumseh 5 hp.
