CRAFTSMAN CMHT77620 Center Finding Detection Review

So far I'm not impressed. Received as a gift after my previous 15 year old spike finder died. This one keeps finding an AC source it won't work on and can't seem to find a bolt at all? It's too late to return it so I'm stuck.

To put ROPS kits on my son's dressers didn't work at all. Did I hit the studs in the middle? Who knows. I'll have to buy a spike finder just to be on the safe side. The master should be ashamed. It's a spike finder, is there something that just works?

I first used it to find studs and electrical wiring before installing metal shelving. It was very easy to find the studs as there is a light on each side and then a middle light when it's in the middle. Put the circle in the hole and you're done. Didn't miss a pin. The Craftsman CMHT77620 Stud Sensor + AC Detector, made in China, measures 6" long, 3" wide and 3/4" thick.
