Edit: no longer works

The original review praised this pump for working great with both valve types. I've had it for about four months now and it no longer works. It no longer pumps air. I emailed the brothers about this issue and asked if there was a way to fix or service the pump myself (seems pretty easy to disassemble). They didn't reply to my email so for now it's the weight of the paper.

  • Great for a small home

Right to keep dirt and water away from the valve head.

Great pump and love the HV/HP switch on the bottom. My only complaint, as others have mentioned, is that there is no cap to protect the valve head from dirt and water. My simple solution was to place the rolled up black tape against itself to not have to deal with the sticky residue, cut to the size of the hole and screw the cap back on. I just have to remember to remove it when it comes time to use it. I hope this helps my fellow cyclists.

  • GOLS certified

If you switch to Presta, make sure to rotate both parts around

Excellent pump. Very compact and I love the ability to switch from high volume to high pressure while pumping. One thing to note is that when you switch from Shredder to Presta, there are actually two parts that need to be pulled out and rotated. If you just flip the rubber piece over, it won't be deep enough to latch onto the presta valve. It's not very clear from the instructions. I almost returned the pump before realizing what was going on.

It's pretty but not useful.

There are better mini pumps out there like this telescope but this one looks so good. It takes me about 5 minutes to inflate a gravel bike tire. I can handle it because it looks good. Update: I would give it one star except it's still beautiful. With tire pressures as low as about 10psi on my gravel bike, I stopped using this pump in upstate Oregon. I could see it building some pressure but not enough to inflate a tubeless tire. Fail. Luckily I found a friend with a real pump in his backpack…

Good. worked fine on my presta valve

nice. worked fine on my presta valve. Nice that it has two settings for pumping at lower pressure for more air volume. Update, 1 year later (900+ miles MTB): was great. It always seems like pumping is needed when someone needs air on a trip. It has two pump levels, which speeds up refueling. I thought I'd have to replace it recently because it was starting to have problems. Then I realized that he can easily understand. With all that dust from racing, the O-ring lube stopped working and the…

Not a main pump but great for repair jobs

For the money this is a pretty cool little pump. It comes with a water bottle mount for your bottle cage to stand on and is highly adaptable to Schrader and Presta valves and also has 2 settings, one for low pressure under 30psi and one for high pressure around 30psi. Be sure to read the instructions for both of these adjustments, although switching valve styles in the woods can be tricky before taking it to the trail. The only thing I don't like is that the pump head spins freely, but I put a…

Great pump, the best in the sport

Crank Brothers are knocking them out of the park again! I'm quickly becoming a Crank Brothers fan. This is not just a typical frame pump, but both a high volume pump and a high pressure pump. Turn the bottom dial to one side and you'll get a large volume for quick inflation. Then, if pumping becomes too hard, turn the regulator the other way and you can continue to build up the required pressure. Haven't had to use it in the field yet, but I've tested it a bit in the store and can't complain. I

Many pumps but good simple result

All my reviews seem to be 5 stars. Maybe it's because I rely heavily on other users and the hardware they recommend works. This unit is no different. This is a small block of light. Rotate the base to go from low to high and do 100 pumps at a time and you have a 700c/25 tire at 90-100psi. Uphill workout in the middle of nowhere, this proved beyond a doubt that this device worked. Heaven! The only thing to note. I've always had pumps that require phenomenal effort, flipping the valve and…
