The best flat pedal grip you will find!

These pedals have crazy grip. I was looking for a replacement for my Deity pedals but struggled to find something that had the same grip as the Deity. I was skeptical, but I knew the Crank Brothers were very revered. I'm so glad I chose these Stamp 3 pedals for my Evil Insurgent. My confidence shot up after the first ride, with improved downhill times and required traction on technical sections. The Stamp 3 are my new favorite pedals.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expandable

Great pedals - for cycling

These pedals offer excellent value for money. I usually get my hair cut but wanted to try an apartment. These pedals offer great traction, the pins are well placed and I love that they are accessible from the opposite side. The composite body feels solid and its durability will take its toll. So far they've held up well on two trips with lots of hits. Also, I'm not a "light on the bike". The platforms feel very solid and I didn't notice any sagging. Advantages: light weight, good grip…

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Reliability

Hard rock with great grip!

Paired with fiveteen freeriders, you can't even come close to falling into the trap without doing it. I have 10.5 shoes and the little sneakers were perfect and there was still plenty of room. I'd say if you don't have a very large foot, small might be a better choice for spacing etc. It looks like part of the difference between the models is in thickness, so 7 is thinner than 3. I have 3, ride in rocky New England and marked with the small size with minimal bumps so value for money not worth…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Clearly bad product

It feels like I'm imprisoned.

I have been using clipless pedals for almost 20 years, including on technical trips. I've had some minor issues with my tendons recently and have been told not to use them until I'm better. I decided to give them a try as my clipless pedals are also from Crank Bros and I've always liked them. I also had to buy shoes as none of my pedals were designed for flat pedals. I ordered a pair of Five Ten Men's Freerider Cycling Shoes, Charcoal/Orange, 10M US, and together they felt like I was still…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Great intermediate pedals.

Let me start by saying that this is my first experience with "real" mountain bike pedals. A few years ago I started on a 2019 Giant Talon 29 2 with basic plastic pedals and passed this bike on to my son. I just bought a 21 Trance 29 3 that didn't come with pedals and they were recommended. I've been riding with them for a little over a month and for the most part I'm happy with them. I was initially concerned about the metal studs that might hurt my shin and I've been slapped a couple of times…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Legacy model

Stamp 1 - Very Disappointed - AVOID AVOID AVOID

UPDATE January 2020 - BE AWARE and DO NOT be fooled by the high ratings for this list of pedals. It seems that the multi-star ratings mostly apply to other versions of Stamp and NOT Stamp 1. This review is for Stamp 1, which is complete rubbish. I am a long time cyclist and competed in the JAG World BMX event in Indy in 1979 (same year I believe). So maybe I know how to deal with some flat pedals. This is not good. I ride them with a 510. I bought these pedals from some reviews and rating sites

  • New

  • Not everything fits

Beginner's view + photos in size

Before writing this review, let me say that I have only been driving for about 8 months. I have no experience with clips. I used to only use standard plastic pedals so really any pedal would greatly improve my ride. That being said, here's my summary. Specifications are for reference. Pedal: Stamp 7, large. Since purchase: 87.2 miles on 13 trips. Bike: Roscoe 8 (Hardtail). Shoes shown: Nike Metcon 2 for US men, size 10.1. Traction - Adjustable pins are used for 2-3 rides. At first I thought…

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings, everything is fine

Avoid Stamps 1. Not as "sticky " as others. Not a real flat pedal.

First, the size is wonderful. I bought the big ones and the platform fits my feet well (shoe size 10). Love it. The main reason for this (for me) is not so much the fit of the shoe, but the fact that my heels hit the struts with narrower pedals. With them you'll no doubt hit more rocks on the way up, but in my opinion an inch or two more width is worth it as you come down the mountain. . The spindle runs above the platform - level with the pegs so they don't press on the soles like other flats.

Pros
  • While satisfied
Cons
  • I'll write later

Maybe overkill for hybrid bikes

I wanted to upgrade my stock Wellgo pedals (first photo) with something extra for my big feet. After reviewing all the major flat pedals on the market, I ordered the "Stamp 1" composites in a size L. The other contender was the OneUp composite, but several reviewers indicated that riders can feel the spindle bulge through their shoes, so I settled on the Crank Bros. one Here are my pros and cons: 1) The insole is a decent size but the actual measurements are 110 x 110. If you've used larger…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion
