Crankshaft Holding 1985 1993 Pulley Turning Review

Build quality is good hence two stars but it has not worked for the Volvo 240 and I believe any other b230 engine. There is an alignment issue where the teeth are on the crankshaft pulley and the stock tool has a slight kink to attach it to the tensioner. upset

Do not align with the holes in the crankshaft pulley at TDC. It can be used if you rotate the pulley about 15 degrees, but considering it needs to be aligned at top dead center, this isn't ideal. I was able to get it to work but wasn't happy getting it to work as it is a dedicated tool designed for that sole purpose. Spend $15 more and get a real tool.

Tool required to change the timing belt and the front seals on the Volvo 240 DL. First time doing this type of work on my own and this tool made the job a breeze. The tool itself is very thick and durable. As long as I have my Volvo it's nice to know that this tool will always be with me when I need it again. Also, Amazon was able to ship it to me within two days, which was great. I'm glad I bought it.

This tool is NOT a leveling tool as other reviews say it is not for removing screws. This tool allows you to remove the 24mm crankshaft pulley bolt and camshaft bolt on B230 and similar engines. To use, set timing to TDC on both crankshaft and camshaft. Insert the tool properly so it can be locked to make removing these screws easier. NOW this may require a slight twist of the motor to set the tool in place. It doesn't matter because once the screw(s) are removed, simply crank the engine back…
