This is somewhat misleading and disappointing. I was hoping to think there would actually be 12 colors since light blue and light green would be fairly complementary colors.

This is colored paper. The colors are good, the children have no problem with cutting and pasting. My only complaint is that the white in the box is NOT actually colored paper but more like regular printer paper which means it looks, feels and behaves differently than all other colours.
