Description of πŸ” Optimized Search: CGR12 Creative Grids 12-1/2in Square Quilt Ruler

This 12-1/2 inch square features easy-to-read black and white markings printed in 1 inch grids marked in 1/8 and 1/4 inch increments. Use the easy-to-read, black numbers (printed on white dots) and the 1/4 inch grip sides to cut whole inches. The 1/4 inch dashed lines printed on two adjoining sides aid in trimming seam allowances. Use the patented Turn-A-Round feature β€” designated by the easy to read, numerical white numbers (printed on black dots) and the 1/2 inch grip sides β€” to add the 1/2 inch seam allowance. A 45 degree angle is printed in black and is used to trim half-square triangles to size. White horizontal and vertical lines are printed on the square so the center of the ruler is easily distinguishable. Use these lines to square up blocks based on four-patches or embroidered and appliqued blocks. The ruler slides easily over the fabric until pressure is applied. Then, our exclusive gripper holds the fabric in place while cutting, eliminating slipping and miss-cuts! Scan the QR Code printed on the ruler to view a video demonstration of these features.

Best Sewing Ruler

I love these creative stitch rulers. You stay on the fabric and there are many different ways to measure your pattern. They've thought through every measurement method and made it work. Creative Grids will be my only rulers!

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Safety

Creative Grids rulers are great!

Creative Grids is my favorite line company because the lines and numbers are black, thin, and easy to see. These rulers stay in place better than my previous brand because they added a rough "dot" finish to the area on the back of the ruler to prevent slipping. I replaced all my rulers with Creative Grids. The company also has an almost endless supply of different sizes and shapes, including those needed for ruler quilting.

Pros
  • Positive Only
Cons
  • Expensive Insurance

Ideal for quilting: rulers and ruler stands

Creative Grids have small lines for precision, and they're hashed so you can align multiple locations to a cut line. This can cut small squares up to 12 1/2 inches without moving the ruler. I messed up a lot of large squares trying to move the ruler to finish the cut - I'm new to quilting. This will fix it. In addition, it has non-slip nubs so that it stays on the fabric while cutting. The best brand to use. And they recommend using the same maker for all cuts once you start your pattern.

Pros
  • The white horizontal and vertical lines are printed on the square so that the middle of the ruler is easy to see. Use these lines to align the blocks based on the four patches or the embroidery and applique blocks.
Cons
  • No Power

FAR's best quilting rulers.

Creative Grid Rulers are by far the best quilting rulers in my book. I've used omni rulers before but found the thick and yellow lines make it difficult to judge accuracy. The creative grid rulers have finer substrate cleaning lines, giving you perfect vision, which ensures precise cuts every time! Plus a wonderful anti-slip feature. Especially for me as I have arthritis but it would be invaluable to anyone. Who doesn't want their ruler to stay in place on your expensive fabrics? The rotation…

Pros
  • This 12-1/2" square features easy-to-read black and white markings printed in 1" grids in 1/8" and 1/4" increments.
Cons
  • boring packaging
