Description of πŸ”² Enhance Precision and Efficiency with Creative Grids Square on Square Trim Tool - 3in or 6in Finished - CGRJAW7

Create 3 or 6 inch Square on Square blocks. No calculation needed - all the cutting measurements are printed right on the tool!. Trimming each round as triangles are added creates perfectly square, uniform blocks. The popular Snail's Trail block is now easier than ever - simply change the colors of the triangles!. The ruler slides easily over the fabric until pressure is applied. Then, our exclusive gripper holds the fabric in place while cutting, eliminating slipping and miss-cuts!. It comes with fully illustrated step by step instructions or scan the QR Code printed on the tool to view a video demonstration. Total Size - 6-1/2in x 6-1/2in.

Great quilting tool

This is a great waste disposal tool. I'm making a square in a square frame for a Dresden quilt. I would recommend anyone who loves creating perfect squares to use this tool. And not much fabric is wasted/

Pros
  • Create a 3" or 6" square on square blocks. No calculations required - all cutting parameters are printed directly on the tool!
Cons
  • Ugly Box

Interesting for quilting

I only have two sizes in this range. I haven't played with this 6" version of the Square-on-Square Trim Tool yet, but I hope/think it will work as well as the 8" version I've played around with a bit . I also went with this 6 inch size because many quilt blocks call for a 3 inch square-in-square (which this line also makes) and I wanted them to be easier to make. I think I'll get a lot out of both sizes in this line. The advantage is that it is interesting and non-tiring to use.

Pros
  • Crafts and sewing
Cons
  • Doubtful

Complicated - incomprehensible instructions, waste of material

At the price, I had imagined the instructions to be much clearer and simpler. I followed my first block (I'm no expert but I've been sewing for decades so I know a thing or two about sewing) - and it was time consuming and hard to figure out what to do. Also, there was a lot of fabric waste! Instead of cutting and trimming oversized squares, why not just trim the corner squares to size and then trim as you sew. not at all my favorite quilt square.

Pros
  • Sewing
Cons
  • Very expensive

I like it - just make that block accurate.

I mainly use creative grid rulers, the markings are easy to read and they have a non-slip backing. This particular ruler is very useful for getting a square within a square block. There are two sizes: 6" ready-to-use quilt block and 3" ready-to-use quilt block. The unfinished size allows for a 1/4" seam allowance, so the unfinished sizes are 6", 1/2" and 3 1/2", respectively. The dimensions to be cut to add to the center square are too large so the square can be cut to the perfect size. Which I
