🎁 DIY Wooden Recipe Box with Hinged Lid and Front Clasp - Customizable Gift, Jewelry, and Photo Box Review

I need a blank canvas for a school art project. My project was to make a reliquary box for the Greek goddess Afordithia. I started wrapping the box in aluminum foil and painted it various shades of green, brown, and blue to give it an aged look. I also used corner structures and legs to give it a more unique look. All in all, this box did the job for my project and I'm very happy with the result.

It wasn't the worst that could happen, okay? The box was a little smaller than I expected so I downsized the envelopes I had. never mind If you are creative you can make it fun. I painted this box I think 3 different colors, put pictures on it and topped it to seal everything. I made this about a year ago and it has survived 2 moves and dropped a few times so I recommend it but if you don't want a small box then don't order it. It's nobody's fault, but I had to check

I chose decoupage, not paint, because I love natural wood. I made my own box of recipes for my daughter's bachelorette party using clippings from a shower invitation and a few other things. I added several coats of polyurethane and cooled the steel between coats which made the box look nice. I'm giving 4 stars for two reasons: 1. To be honest I bought it knowing it had imperfections because it's being sold as returns or something. I wanted a recipe card holder and I love it. I didn't do anything other than sand down the edges because the hinges create a lot of room at the back for it to lean against. I don't think it can help. if the hinges are not attached to the back of the box. I think they don't, so it won't cause pinching. The boxes do have wooden knots and need some wood spatula, but they are well put together and
