Caran d'Ache Gouache Studio, 8 Pans (1000.308) for Creative Art Materials Review

Not many colors and the box seems bigger than it should be but the colors that are there are bright and interesting to use.

These gouache shapes work very well. The only criticism is the weight of the sheet metal pallet, in my opinion it is a bit heavy. The color saturation is not bad for pan gouache.

I really like these colors. The plates are highly pigmented and easy to wet. The weaknesses are that they aren't artistic (not fade resistant as far as I know) and for that reason there isn't much information on available colors; I even contacted Caran d'Ache but they didn't reply. Also, in a set of 8 trays I would have preferred something like burnt sienna or burnt umber or whatever (another blue, green, yellow or purple) to the gray tray that comes with the set, a large white one would also…
