Junk cheap feel.

I regret that I bought this miserable instrument. I got better stuff at Harbor Freight. The adjustable jaw is loose and doesn't slide smoothly, the dial is difficult to turn with one hand, the black surface feels a bit sticky, and the overall feel of this tool is just bad. I returned it. It's just a lightweight wrench that has no place in my tool box.

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • some difficulties

Typical Chinese scrap

That's why I give this rating 1 star. I ordered the first one and couldn't get the barrel to move to adjust the jaw. I had to use a set of vise to free it. Once free, the crescent's movable end sat so sloppy in the channel that I asked for a replacement. Replaced, the jaw glides even weaker through the canal, and the hole isn't even fully milled. Save money on another product.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

A piece of junk! on wrench

As for the Crescent brand wrench recommended by Revain. The main functional parts of an adjustable wrench are the jaw and the adjusting nut. The wrench I received has a loose jaw and loose knurling for adjustment. It's marketed as "Ct Crescent" while my old and good 4 inch is a Crescent with an "r" for trademark, not on that I made the mistake of buying crappy work I'll be sending back .

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Great for the price

I first bought the Tekton version of this wrench and it was defective and poorly assembled, the milling was so rough I had to force the jaws closed making it barely usable. I returned it and bought it for just a few dollars more and it's almost perfect. Much better milling, absolutely smooth movement and you can tell that there is more attention to detail in almost every part. Definitely worth the extra money to have a reliable and well built key.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Poor quality: mechanical and hand tools

Knurled adjuster binds when turning (some turns are difficult and others are easy). Pit ends. This key lacks craftsmanship and finish. Another example of an instrument that was once well made in America but is now cheaply made in CHINA. I returned the key and ordered a Ridgid Crescent Wrench (Ridgid 86912 10" Adjustable Wrench) made in the USA. (I will update this review when it comes in.) Update: I received the Ridgid Crescent wrench and am very happy with the workmanship. The Ridgid costs $10

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Almost never

Mine had a problem, otherwise a good key.

Good wrench, very durable and matches my other set of powder coated wrenches. It seems to be done wrong though, since "Jaws?" don't open a full 2 inches or whatever, they stop at about 3 sixteenths and I couldn't get them any further. It still works differently. I still like them, but the maximum opening width was the only reason I bought the crescent-sized wrench that I made in the first place. I couldn't find any reason why they haven't opened up further so I'm willing to assume it's probably

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly

I will not buy again.

This used to be a gem in every man's tool box. It has now been completely redesigned from the original product. Now he gives up. Why are they doing it? The original was thin. He was well balanced. The bike worked perfectly. It fits perfectly in your hand. Suitable for narrow spaces. It used to be a great tool! Now this one. so-called "improved". NO. Fat, fat head. Bulky and inconvenient for small jobs. It's a 4 inch wrench! It cannot be used for heavy things. That's totally unbalanced. Wheel…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others
