outside chips and peel enamel, very disappointed.

I have had this product for a little over 2 months and the outer enamel is starting to peel and crack. I am very disappointed in the quality of this product, I made a great investment that I thought would last a lifetime and it didn't even last 10 weeks! It also appears to be very dangerous in that tooth enamel chips off so easily that accidentally swallowing it could be very unhealthy.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Expensive Insurance

The bottom (inside) is rusty, having never been scratched.

The bottom (inside) is rusty, having never been cleaned, not cleaned in the dishwasher. The kettle has only been used 40-50 times and has always been rinsed, never washed with harsh detergents. Rust or enamel will float in water and render the kettle unusable after a year. I contacted the manufacturer hoping to resolve this issue.

  • A dream come true

Looks luxurious Kettle

The best kettle I could finally find. I bought two types of kettles and they weren't good. I didn't dare to buy an enamel teapot because I'm in a hospital. But this kettle boils water very quickly and whistles sweetly. I don't mind keeping it on the stove. I didn't realize how annoying the kettle code was. Now there is more space on my kitchen table. I'm the color of an oyster, but the box says it's flint. Anyway, I love nice gradations.

Pros
  • High quality workmanship
Cons
  • Long wait

Dribble Dribble Dribble

When pouring, it drips down the spout - even after waiting a few seconds so the water doesn't boil yet. Had to return to Le Creuset for pennies (under their 5 year warranty) and after checking them it took up to 3-4 weeks to get their fix. I hope I get something back. This teapot has some sort of finishing insert in the spout while the previous Le Creuset teapot did not. Obviously this is the reason for the dribbling. For $100 I don't expect dribbling.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Not sure

as many other reviewers have said

At first I couldn't understand why everyone was complaining. I thought they just didn't know how to use the kettle properly. After about 15 uses, as many other reviewers have said, the black lid melted. I believe this happened after we got our new stove because the flame heats a larger circle than our old stove. However, the cauldron was still far enough away that the spout lid shouldn't have melted. I love Le Creuset and am seriously disappointed in this product. I might buy it again but I…
