Poor design and short lifespan

I've had this press for about two years and have used it intermittently. He couldn't take it. This is a chip. It flows from below into a wide coffee ring. If you add even an inch too much water (the level can only be guessed at), it will splatter everywhere, splattering coffee all over the room. The only nice thing is the color.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Very expensive

I love Le Creuset, but porcelain stoneware

I love Le Creuset. It doesn't meet their quality standards at all. The first week there was a chip from the case cover at the top edge. The spout broke the next week. The screw at the top that is supposed to brake the movement of the lid isn't actually tightened, it just moves up and down the shaft. I've used the jar for years with no damage and even took it camping, so I don't think I was a bull moose. Save your money on pots and pans, ceramic is earthenware. Pun :)

Buy at your own risk

This was our first purchase from Le Creuset and we were a little disappointed. We've had this French coffee maker for less than a year and it broke on the spout when I was pouring my coffee. We were looking for a more durable press that would also keep our coffee hotter and longer. I've had several Bodum presses because they were affordable, but the glass would crack from the constant heat cycle of daily use. We're a bit disappointed that this Le Creuset broke in less than a year. We expectedโ€ฆ

Like the icing on the cake in my kitchen and great coffee

This is the third Le Creuset I have bought. i trust the name my kitchen is small I decided to stop thinking that I need an electric coffee maker. This coffee press produces excellent, full-bodied coffee. I have a stove and I can boil water on it. Boil water with grandma's kettle on the stove. When I pour freshly boiled water into the Le Creuset press, I stir to make sure all the bottom is moist, cover with a lid, wait 2 minutes, press and pour. The product is heavy and looks like a strongโ€ฆ

Very nice and high quality press!

I've had a plastic and glass Bodum French Press for the last 6 or 7 years and it was cheap but did the job. Recently it broke and I was panicking because I NEED freshly squeezed coffee in the morning. So I did a little research and found that this is one of the best, highest quality "ceramic" presses with the best reviews and I have no regrets about my decision. 27 ounces. brews about 2 1/2-3 cups of coffee and the squeezing motion is gentle and fast. Other reviews said it was heavy but Iโ€ฆ
