UPDATE: I use this regularly as a woodworking tool and am still very impressed with it in that regard, but recently discovered a serious flaw in the scabbard system: you can damage the edge or dent badly if you pull them out in a certain way and pull them hard. If you first pull straight down or with an ax, the edge will hit the bottom rivet in the shell, damage to me.
