The jug arrived quickly but unfortunately the lid was broken. I messaged the seller via Revain but I don't think I received a response. A few days later I received a package with a new top and a handwritten note from Tom At Ohio apologizing for the inconvenience and explaining that Ray tried to email me but it landed in my spam. I couldn't wrap her up in this shard or company higher. The quality is outstanding and the customer service is amazing.

Gherkins, sauerkraut, pickled peppers - the world is ours when we have a pot. Very good size for making small batches of cucumber/kombucha. The lid plus weights make it a great value. This pot was exceptionally well packaged which is very important when working with ceramics. Just like my wife and I, this tool is a must have for any gardener. Jalapeno (or habanero) pickles will ignite your fire and they just can't be found on the market like the ones we can make at home.

I really like this set. It's a good size for a manageable amount of pickling and is easy to tidy up. I'm starting to notice a slight haze in the glaze at the bottom of the jug, but I think that's normal wear and tear. My only complaint - and this isn't really a complaint, but a feature I would like to see in modern shards - is that I would like the shard to have molded handles or wire handles. I've seen old pots (at flea markets etc) that have this feature and it would be great to try and…
