🕒 La Crosse Technology Atomic Digital Clock with Outdoor Temperature - Oak Finish, 0 Review

The battery discharges every 6 weeks. Addendum: Purchased in June 2018. Now I know it's broken. I put new batteries in and the screen still doesn't light up. garbage for money.

We ordered one of these units and it ate the batteries in a month. We came back and got another one. Same problem. We have written to the company and its President. They didn't answer. I don't think they care. If you decide to buy this plan for 2 dozen batteries and a dozen trips up and down over the next year.

Really disappointed. Looks good and works as it should - keeps track of time and all that. But the battery situation is really sad. It seems to drain the batteries pretty quickly, which isn't a good thing. Worst of all, there's no backup battery (like a watch), meaning you have to reset the whole damn thing every time you change batteries. It's very uncomfortable. Now we are actively looking for another to connect.

This clock replaces my old La Crosse clock after its radio transmitter failed. This newer version has a larger display for all the important metrics, is much easier to set up and has all the buttons on the top rather than on the back like the older models. When working and updating. even regularly with the "Atomic" option enabled. I just hope the external remote transmitter on this model lasts longer than my last two models.

La Crosse should extend the transparent area of the LCD to the edge of the watch and remove the faux wood side panels. I bought this watch to replace the SkyScan atomic clock that I have been using for 15 years. SkyScan appears to have been purchased by La Crosse Technology. So I expected this watch to be of the same quality as the SkyScan model I was so happy with until it failed. The first watch I received was defective. This will not update the time. I sent it back to Revain and received a second watch as a replacement. The replacement works as advertised. He has a great time and renews himself several times
