Disappointing Quality, Waste of Money

Based on our own experience, we do not recommend this particular adapter for anyone looking for a reliable and durable product in the Exhaust & Emissions category of Automotive Replacement Parts. While it initially fit our vehicle just fine, after a short period of use, it started to falter and ultimately broke down completely. Unfortunately, the low quality materials used in this adapter just don't hold up over time, making it a poor investment for any hesitant buyer seeking a long-term…

Pros
  • Durable and crushproof construction
Cons
  • Compatibility limited to specific tailpipe sizes

Works as it should. - Exhaust pipes and tailpipes

This exhaust pipe adapter has a large inlet for use on a dual tailpipe exhaust or a very large single tailpipe. The rubber is quite thick, I think it will last a long time. It's not purple like in the photo, it's completely black if you want to know.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Not enough taper to stay straight on the pipe unless you have a big tip. We have a 5 inch exhaust and it twists sideways. If I had a 6 inch tip or larger maybe it wouldn't fall off. Unless your tip is a bit smaller than that ID, I feel you can't seal it sufficiently to be useful. I use a black rubber bungee cord to hold it up, but it still leaks too much.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Almost OK
