🚗 Enhance Your Toyota/Lexus Driving Experience with the CRUX SWRTY-61J Radio Replacement Interface: Steering Wheel Control, JBL Amp, AUX and Backup Camera Integration (2003-2017) Review

Installed on a 2005 Totota 4Runner Sport with JBL Synthesis stereo. Connected easily, does exactly what it's supposed to. Wiring was easy and I used waterproof solder joints. I kept the controls on the steering wheel and thanks to the Pioneer HU the sound is fantastic.

First of all I'm a techie by trade and make a living from it so fitting something like this is no problem. My issue with this item is that the SWC, steering wheel control, hold didn't work. I ended up having to use the PAC SWI-CP2. This item worked perfectly unlike this one. Waste of money and especially my time.

The description does not state that front-to-back damping control does not work on this unit. We had to find out by reading the fine print of the instructions. Fade control in a minivan is very important. Worked well for the first week after a few uses and then suddenly stopped. No sound and no steering wheel controls. Return for replacement.

Installed on my 2005 Toyota Sequoia Limited with JBL system. I replaced the head unit with a Pioneer but wanted to keep the steering wheel controls and use the factory amps. Everything works as advertised. Strange that there is no fader function (from front to back). I guess it's not a feature I usually play around with, so it doesn't matter. Overall very happy with this purchase.

Excellent quality product, the only reason for the low rating is that it doesn't fit my car. . This wiring harness does not have rear speaker connectors. So you have no rear speakers. For some reason it is written that there is a control on the steering wheel. Mine didn't work. It fits the latest 4runner model. I have a limited edition 2003 Toyota 4Runner v8.

Excellent product. The only thing I would wish for in this offering would be the ability to use the rear speakers. Instructions are dated for use with newer head units. I had trouble connecting to the steering wheel control module and found I didn't have to do that part. I have to say that Judd and the team are very very informative and have responded to numerous messages and emails and made additional inquiries even outside of business hours.

I bought this interface to upgrade my head unit in my tundra. I wanted to keep all of the factory controls on the steering wheel, as well as the location of the stock amp and subwoofer. This unit integrated my Pioneer touchscreen perfectly! Installation was easy and my only downside would be the loss of fade control. I have two Tundra, 05 and 07. I am planning to order another unit for my 05. Without this unit I would need a separate unit for the SWC, amp and main unit. Road to the CRUX!
